The National Delphi features steel body construction with a ribbed sieve-hole coverplate, just like the pre-war original resonator guitars. In the 20’s and 30’s thousands of musicians discovered the punch and power of the original Nationals. The Delphi captures the classic sound and style of the originals, with the quality and features that modern players require.
The Delphi has a steel body and features a stunning custom hand painted Metallic Blue Sunburst body and coverplate with rolled “F” holes. It’s mahogany neck meets the body at the twelfth fret and includes rosewood fretboard, cross-grained ivory binding, dot markers, slotted headstock with the traditional National “shield” logo decal and three-on-a plate tuners.
The tone is a more refined version of it’s thin gauge steel brothers, with a ringing tone and plenty of lush overtones. Jump jazz chords sound right at home on the Delphi, while still retaining that famous steel bite that Nationals are famous for.
