Up for sale, a 2018 Fender American Original 70s Jazz Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and case candy. Essentially an extension of the previous American Vintage ’75 model, this American Original series instrument has a mid-70s feature set with an ash body, bound maple fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, Pure Vintage 75 single coil pickups, and vintage-accurate hardware.
Providing a particularly broad tonal range, the tonal pairing of ash and maple delivers tons of detail, articulation and a distinctive treble grind. The pair of Fenders Pure Vintage 75 pickups deliver strong note attack, with upper midrange burp at the bridge and woody punch at the neck. The tone can get quite broad too by rolling off the bridge pickup Volume and Master Tone control, for a rich sound that doesn’t lack definition. This American Original 70s Jazz Bass weighs 9lbs 8oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mikes Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.
