This guitar by Patrick Hopmans from 1999 is simply spectacular. It is light as a feather and immediately captivates with its lively and explosive character. The top is made of fine spruce, the back and sides of cypress. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
This Patrick Hopmans 1999 has that brilliant flamenco sound reminiscent of guitars from the good old days.It produces sharp, percussive rasqueado, but can also play sweetly and has a throaty growl if desired. The guitar is ultra-lightweight and therefore has a quick response and the typical explosive tone. The tone has a fine woody vintage character due to the age of the guitar, which has allowed the guitar to develop its very own style with a lot of charm. Definitely a sound you can fall in love with.
