This is a circa 1936 Gibson L-00 acoustic guitar. We’ve been able to date this guitar through its specs; a larger burst with more yellow in it, and an unbound back date this one to that year. The guitar is in overall good condition in both cosmetics and playability.
There is fretwear and divots in the board around the first five frets (which was refretted as a whole at some point), a changed saddle, and a repaired crack on the back of the body with an internal patch that’s holding very well. The guitar needs a neck reset, so the action is currently high at just above 3.5mm. We’re selling it in as-is condition for the next owner to decide to do the neck reset. Despite the high action, the guitar intonates and plays well! A modern hardshell case is included with this vintage beauty.
