Up for sale, a 1960 Martin 000-18 in excellent condition, complete with a hardshell case. One of Martins most popular body sizes, this 000 makes the most of its solid tonewood construction with an X-braced Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, retaining the original small maple bridge plate.

The sound is exceedingly balanced, clear and sweet-sounding with equal presence afforded each string. Notes are crisp and immediate: projection is ample, and the low end is defined yet relaxed. The trebles have a certain dry airiness and are quite round-sounding for single note lines. The 000 body shape is sympathetic to fingerpicking, and the body’s tonewoods and overarching voicing offer a versatility for a broad range of genres and gigging/recording scenarios. Weighing 3lbs 10oz, this 000-18 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 strings and easy-playing action.

-Frets: Slender, leveled/crowned, no wear
-Scale Length: 24.9
-Nut: 1 11/16, bone

Body Specs:

There is a small repair on the back at the treble-side lower bout with limited touch-up, and the finish is otherwise 100% original, exhibiting subtle checking. There is minor strap-related wear on the bass-side upper bout shoulder and some shallow buckle rash on the back, with expected pick wear across the soundhole, and some finish scratches and minor dings consistent with decades of careful use. The nitro on the neck profile is smooth and clean save for a few shallow nicks along the spine that are virtually undetectable to the palm while fretting.

A black tolex hardshell case is included.
