For authentic tone they re-voiced the pair of single-coil Jazz Bass pickups to sound more like the originals. Gritty and growling, they have the tone that made the J Bass popular. The ’70s C-shaped neck has a 7.25-radius bound fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and 20 vintage-style frets for classic playing feel.
Body: Alder with a gloss Sunburst finish.
Neck: Maple with a Pao Ferro fingerboard, 34 scale length, 1.5 nut width, 7.25 radius, 70s C shape, 20 frets, block pearl inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Vintage-Style ’70s Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups, Volume 1. (Neck Pickup), Volume 2. (Bridge Pickup), Tone controls, 4-Saddle American Vintage Bass bridge, open gear tuning keys, 3-ply black pickguard.
Cosmetics: This bass is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. The pickguard has light surface scratches.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
